If you enjoyed The Keeper Of Lost Things then you will love this second novel from Ruth Hogan, which is written with the same kind of flair and tone as her first novel.

Prepare to immerse yourself in the world of Imelda Burova, a Tarot Reader, Palmist and Clairvoyant on the Brighton seafront who has been there so long that she's a solid fixture. Meanwhile Billie, a woman who has seemingly lost everything, ends up at Madame Burova's door looking for answers.

The novel switches between two narratives - the 1970s in a Brighton holiday park and the present day (which is where Billie comes in).

The writing and the setting are brilliant and the characters are complex enough that there is always some mystery around them. There are a satisfying number of twists in the story and you'll be guessing until the very end. Another beautifully crafted novel from the author and you won't be disappointed.
