The first impressions of the book was that it looked interesting, although it would not have been my genre of books, I thought I would give it a go. It started off quite well and I got a feel of the characters, especially the main one Madame Burova.
I like the fact that it goes from past to present day, although it can be a little confusing to keep up! It had a good plot, maybe a few too many characters for me, but the main story was of a character called Billie, who lived a lovely life, until both of her parents died and she found out that seh was adopted. So she had to make a decision weather to try and find out who her real parents were, or just carry on as normal?
The book went through the lives of different people, but they all ended up being connected somehow through thier past. Madam Burova was a lovely character, but it had a very sad ending for her, but Billie had a very happy ending.
All in all it was a good read.
