A very intriguing cross-over between old French realism and fairy tales type of the main character: like a Mary Poppins thrown into modern times.
In love with the characters already, love the dynamics of the relationship and the overall magical/mysterious atmosphere set up by the author. I am definitely not the biggest fan of fictional narratives but the plot gets you drawn into this common rather unreal world as soon as you hit the first page.

If you are a lover of French realism type of novels like Madame Bovary, Un secret or Le Rouge et le Noir with fantasy, magical, mysterious twist to it you will most likely love it!

I hate comparing art but in this case, I think it's pretty positive. I love when authors take real-life people, with a real-life setup and real-life problems without making it too real and too dull. I feel like this is what has been achieved so far with this book. Just don't get into it with prejudice on the genre it seems to be perceived as by reading the short summary. It has a lot more to offer.
