Madame Borova, Tarot reader, Palmist, Clairvoyant and keeper of secrets. The fortune tellers booth is like a confessional, what is said in the booth, stays in the booth.

I really enjoyed this book, once I reached halfway I just could not put it down. You always know that this is the sign of a good book.

The story flips between 1973 when Madame Borova was a young woman, and now when she has retired. However she has been left with some loose ends to tie up.

While doing this a new era starts and new people enter her life, giving her a chance to meet and reconnect with old friends and make new ones. Ruth Hogan brings all of the characters to life so that the reader can produce images of them to life and they become like old friends. The way of life in 1973 is easy to visualise with her descriptions and use of imagery.

The novel is very easy to read and would make a perfect holiday read, a real feel good book and I would recommend it to anyone.
