Absolutely loved this book, it is exactly the style of book I enjoy. The characters were well written and you really got to understand Imelda and Billie.
The story is set between two time periods, the early 1970s and the present day. The author has written and organised the story very well.
Imelda was an interesting and colourful character who really adds to the story. You really got to know her and understand her life story.
I found Billie interesting, but a little irritating and she lacked substance. There were so many other more interesting characters that I just didn't feel that Billie stood out enough as a main character. I was much more interested in uncovering Imelda's story than Billie's.
Will be recommending this book! A good light read, it didn't take me long at all to read this book as I couldn't put it down. Perfect read for a nice long soak in the bath with a glass of wine!
