Im not into much of books that are set in older centuries but as you slowly get more and more into it, it does get more interesting. You constantly want to know what will happen next so you keep reading. Personally i think its a kind of story that pulls you in quickly and you instantly make your own images of what it would look like.
The writing style is very wordy however its right up my alley, it does take quite a while to get each character but eventually its pretty amusing. I particularly liked the character Lizzie Bennett, i feel like she represents what the 19th century was really about and it really goes to show her quirky attitude. The other character is also quite amusing, he's quite hard to figure out at first but you start to develop the sense of it later on.
Its pretty much the opposite of what i thought it was going to be about so it did surprise me quite a bit. but other than that i loved it!
