I really enjoyed 'Madame Burova'! The story sucks you in from the very beginning, and I could have easily read it in one sitting. The descriptive writing really brought the characters and setting to life.
If you enjoy getting lost in the characters' individual personalities and histories, I would highly recommend 'Madame Burova'! However, while the plot definitely has its turns, if you are specifically looking for a plot-twist ridden mystery, this might not be the book for you, as it is more about the characters' lives than the outcome of the plot. (So, I loved it, but if you have the wrong expectation, you may not!). I wouldn't necessarily say this is a must-read for everyone, but I thourghouly enjoyed reading it!
Overall, I felt in this book and the world she creates, Hogan captured a certain magic, and not just in palmistry and Tarot.
