I picked this book up originally because of the cover (looked very mysterious along with the title), and the blurb didn’t give TOO much away but I was intrigued. Reading it, I could definitely tell it was going in a different direction than what I thought, but I didn’t hate that. The feminine erotica aspect was a shock, but I found myself unable to put the book down for too long periods of time. The erotic aspect of it was not overly cheesy, and I didn’t find it as unbearable as some other books I’ve picked up.
The ending, to me, is better than the rest of the book (or at least elevates it). Usually endings let books down, but this is totally the oppposite.
I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this to everyone I know as I feel like you need to really get it (ie pace, plot, the themes) but if you like thriller with hints of romance/erotica and the blurb interests you even slightly, pick it up.
