I fell into the trap of picking this up in the bookshop because I like the cover, I know I know! I quite liked the simplicity and striking colour and thought I would give it a whirl. I found the first few chapters quite absorbing and flew through them reasonably quickly. However, after the first third to half I just lost interest. The plot didn’t hold my interest, I stopped caring about what might happen to the characters and the direction in which their paths were heading. Despite this, I did finish it, but I don’t think this was for me. Overall a bit uninspiring, I think there are better books on a similar theme out there so probably wouldn’t recommend. I have given 2 stars because I don’t think it it completely awful and expect that some people may click with it better than i did.
