I have read one Lionel Shriver's books in the past and have wanted to read another. From the blurb I wasn't sure if I would be interested in reading this book but after the first impression I'm keen to see where the book goes.

A new concept of Mental Parity means that everyone is considered equally intelligent and to state otherwise would have consequences. So far it follows friends Pearson and Emory and how they are both reacting to the new concept, do you have to go along with it even if you don't believe in it so you don't lose your job or should you keep speaking what you believe? Pushing the boundaries of how far things will go, I'd be interested to find out what happens in the rest of the book.

The cover doesn't really tell me anything about the novel but it is bright and eye catching.
