Straight away the book drew me in, I wanted to know more about the family and the complicated characters.
I absolutely love a book that’s set in “normal” times but with an alternate premise, and this one looks incredibly promising. The idea of it becoming illegal to call someone stupid seems almost plausible given the current state of the world, it seems like just the kind of distraction technique or waste of time a government might come up with to get people talking about that and ignoring other things. (Side eye!)
