From reading the First Impression, I was immediately drawn into the dystopian world of the Converse Family, where it has become illegal to discriminate against others based on their intelligence.

This is a very interesting theme and I can’t wait to find out how Lionel Shriver develops it during the course of the novel. I am sure it will generate a lot of discussion points, so could be a great next read for my book club.
