I’m not a fan of Lionel Shriver’s other work as her style and topics haven’t really worked for me in the past BUT wow this one is different.
The idea of a “mental parity” movement and the death of testing and grades is so out there - I don’t know where I fall on the argument. A pitch perfect alternative universe showing what happens when ideas are taken to extremes. I will definitely be reading the full novel with interest.
