After reading the sample, I really thought I was going to really enjoy this book.
It arrived and I liked the cover, the size of the book, and the feel of it when holding it (I love a floppy book!).
I feel like I'm supposed to feel this way, or maybe not, but I found the narrator (Pearson) to be really moany, condescending, and I just found her annoying.
The story itself never really went anywhere until the last 100 pages or so and I found it a chore to read, which is sad as I was so excited to read it and find out where the author would take the idea of getting rid of comparing intelligence. Whilst it raised very valid points I feel this was overshadowed by the main character and her victim complex and weren't explored in a way that gripped me.
Maybe I'm one of the 'stupid' ones but there was also an unnecessary amount of words over never heard of in the descriptions which made it hard for me to follow or enjoy the story.
Perhaps I wasn't the right audience after all, others may enjoy it and find the meaning that I missed.
