“Don’t worry”, just being told this doesn’t really help. Max is curious why his parents are anxious and telling him not to worry so he starts to listen and asks questions and that’s when he learns the new word pandemic.
The story is written through the voice of Max and I like how he is distracted and goes off on tangents. I think it is aimed for children aged 7-9 years old to read. It has good humour based on a child’s misconceptions and their difficulties which always makes me smile.
