Sounds like a super read for an eight year old. I work in a primary school and did so all through the lockdowns, bubble closures etc and had Covid in our class. It was a difficult time and although the children were very resilient, the pandemic definitely has had a long term negative effect! The idea of broaching difficult themes and experiences through a humorous book really appeals to me and I think my class would 100% love this as their class read at the end of the day!
