Over the past two years we have all had to cope with unfamiliar words and phrases being used as part of our everyday life. These are words like Pandemic, Covid, Lockdown, Social distancing, Shielding , Isolating etc. It has been difficult for all of us ,and this story tells what it may have been like to be a child during this time.
The main character is a young boy named Max who is an only child living with his nutritionist mother and his father who is a doctor. Max enjoys his day to day life of going to school and visiting his grandparents regularly. One day he notices that his parents are worried about something but they are trying to protect him from whatever it is. Over a short span of time they explain to him what is going on in the world. Max cannot understand why he can no longer go to school, visit his grandparents , and why his father has to live separately from Max and his mother. One day he is being disobedient and his mother sends him to his room and count to 100 to calm himself down. Max decides to rebel and he makes the decision to count to a million.
This starts a strange series of events for Max and his family.
