Although it’s a children’s book, I found Max Counts to a Million to be a very fun read. It was really nice to see the pandemic from the eyes of a young person and that’s a really important thing for some young readers to see as well so it’s someone they can easily relate to.
The writing is very simple so it’s an easy read for children to follow along or for anyone to read.
The subject matter is just essentially the world during the pandemic and lockdowns which affected everyone but it’s told through the eyes of a child. The story telling didn’t feel condescending and there is a really relatable character at heart.
This isn’t really a book for adults as not a lot happens so they might find it boring. But it is a really enjoyable read for children or to enjoy reading the book together.
Overall, I did have a fun time reading this book and do recommend it.
