Although I did not personally read the whole book, to the little fellow I gave it to, he loved to read it every night. It was very easy to read due to the big and accessible font. This meant that he could read sections confidently with very little assistance. He also loved the cover, due to the protagonist on the front as well as the bright red colour on the cover. I would definitely recommend giving this a try with young children - I am sure they will love it as much as we did! The fact that it was about lockdown was also interesting as we were able to reflect and relate to our own experiences - I have not come across many childrens books which attempt to talk about covid-19, so this was definitely a good change and it actually made us more willing to read the book. Overall, it was a heartwarming story and is perfect for small children to get them into reading.
