Great kids book on dealing with a terrible time
The world is in lockdown during the first wave of the pandemic.
Max and his family are struggling cope just like everyone else, with his father as a key worker tensions can also run high.
After a disagreement with his mam as a way of escaping the isolation he feels he starts to count, the counting goes on until he decides he will only stop when he hits a million.
But what was originally a silly counting game has turned into a local frenzy where the surrounding community gets behind his venture and backs him when it quickly turns into a charity drive and a Guinness world record entry.
This was a fun and quirky novel of living the lockdown life through a child's eyes.
It's a fantastic read for families and children to try and make something positive out of such an horrendous situation.
Also I would say a great learning tool for schools and teachers.
