Max Counts to a Million

When I first saw this book I thought it would be a very "fun" read ...a book I could send to my grandson once I had read it myself.

He is about the same age and lives overseas and feels so sad that his visit to his granddad had to be cancelled just a few days before "lock-down". Sadly although many trips were re-arranged he has still not been able to visit two years on. (Although a trip was made with his older sister at Christmas which after two and a half years was really a wonderful time)

It's quite a quick read as the book itself seems to be written for a child to read but none the less it gave me many chuckles as it comes up with many memories of "been there seen it done it moments" that all us parents have.

I did love this book and although it is fiction it gives a real incite as to how our young ones might be feeling and have felt about Covid 19 the global pandemic.

I am now going to send it on to him as I feel it may help him understand and give him a chuckle too as he reads about Max and how he deals with Covid 19.
