As this is a book marketed to children, I wasn't sure whether I would enjoy reading it as an adult, but I absolutely loved it. I believe that this is a book that can be truly enjoyed by children and adults alike, though we may enjoy it in different ways. I found it really refreshing to read a story about the pandemic from a child's perspective, and to see how the pandemic can affect children in ways that are both similar and different to adults.
I loved the writing style of the author and it really felt like hearing the mind of an 8 year old with constant streams of thinking and lots of tangents. I found the book equally parts funny and moving and found that there were times when I was both laughing and crying at the same time.
Overall I thought that this was a fantastic book for all to read that gave a refreshing perspective of the pandemic. I loved it.
