I read this with my six year old and we both loved it. A great book detailing the time around the pandemic. I liked how it was from the child's perspective and I thought this was done well. We all have our own ideas of what the children went through but this told things in such a way that it was very believable.
The characters were likeable and well written. I enjoyed the development throughout the story.
My son enjoyed how it was written, in a conversational tone. It made it more relatable to him and he could feel like the character was like him. Only thing I think my son would have liked more was if there were more pictures. Although he is a competent reader, he enjoys seeing what's happening too.
Overall a great read. I know my nine year old will have a read and love it too. I will be recommending to my children's friends.
