As someone with younger siblings, whilst reading the extract, I immediately knew that this book would be the type of novel my siblings would love. The style of writing used to describe Max's point of view is humorous, lighthearted and engaging and his family dynamic is most likely relatable for most young people which makes the character more real and personal to the reader. I like the bright colorful style of the cover and while an idea of what the book is about is illustrated on the cover the full story still has much more to offer. One of my favorite things about the book so far, are the illustrations that pop up every so often, which would be appealing for younger readers. In my opinion, the best thing about this story is how the book manages to stay lighthearted and comedic while packing a powerful message - anything is possible.
