My first impression of the book was that it was about magic, the impossible and a group of children. I would want to read this book as the front cover tells me that some children are going on a adventure as well as items used in magic are floating around the edge of the cover.
Max is a great character, very funny and endearing. I can not wait to find out what adventures Max has and how he deals with the school bully. A great read for children.
