I read this extract with my daughter, she liked the cover, and thought it would stand out on the shelf when browsing at the library. We thought the book started off well, with the magic, then it quickly developed into a story about bullying. Personally I think this could be triggering, but also useful for anyone interested in coping with bullying scenarios.
