I'm sure children will love this one ... and maybe some adults too!

After reading the opening chapter of this story for children I'm sure that the engaging, quite 'chatty' writing style will appeal to primary-age children, whether they read the story for themselves or have it read to them. I think that the illustrations which accompany the text will add an extra dimension to a child's enjoyment of Max's story. The bright colours of the cover are immediately enticing so I can imagine a child noticing this book if they see a copy on a bookshelf.
