It can be difficult to find books that jump out and attract young readers but I feel this one does. Stephen Mulhern is a celebrity who young children (and adults too!) love - he's a likeable, fun presenter with a great sense of humour so as soon as I saw this book I expected it to reflect his personality. And it does. Of course, as well as a presenter, Stephen Mulhern is a magician so it is only right that the book's lead character is too. This lead character, Max, sounds like a boy whom you want everything to turn out right for. It sounds a fun, fast-paced read. The cover is bright and attractive and is bound to stand out in a bookshop. I really hope it's a success and that SM becomes recognised for his books as well as his presenting/magic .......................................................... .................................
