I am reading this book with my child in the evening, as part of the post-school/starting the wind-down evening routine. We liked the sample but I am finding the book a little cheesy already and am substituting a few words to make it more palatable for a pre-teen. Personally I can't read a whole chapter without feeling a teeny bit bored.... not always the case with children's books. I'm now not too sure what age group this book is best for. Perhaps an older child would comfortably read this book alone, without the need for explanations. The characters are a bit forced and cliche, even for a childrens' book.

The fact the book is written by a tv face known to families of all ages will certainly get the notice of a newly-published book, not sure I would choose this book on that basis but it might appeal to others who are familiar with his persona.
