Sadly I did not finish this book, I had such high hopes for it but I was left thoroughly disappointed. The characters were bland, there wasn't anything interesting or memorable about them, they definitely needed more development prior to the novel going to print. I couldn't imagine a redemption for Ollie at all, he was far too cruel and hateful to deserve any kind of forgiveness.
There also wasn't enough detail in the descriptions. I admit this was a 'cover buy' in a way, I thought the cover looked extremely enticing with an interesting children's adventure story but sadly Midnight's Twins did not meet my expectations.
I've seen a lot of mixed reviews for this book, including readers who have enjoyed the story so if this interests you at all please don't let my review sway you from giving it a go. I won't be continuing the series but I hope the novels improve.
