This book is set in two realities, London and Anwnn, a dream world of London. It contains element of fantasy, magic and hope.

The central character is Fern, a 15 year old who feels like an outsider amongst her peers so unexpectedly she finds herself needing to protect Anwnn from Ollie, her horrible twin brother, nightmares and whatever else that threatens it.

Fern uncovers a darkness that can influence the dreamers' dream and thereby control their thoughts in the real world to destabilise their realities. She also uncovers what really happened to her mother, Una.

I like how the story itself is written in two realities. There are a lot of references to places in London in the book, which I liked as they're places I'm familiar with. At the beginning of the book, there's a Prologue which tells us a little about Una, the twins' mother and sets the scene.

I found the story appealing because it reminded me of a little of 'Shadow Hunters,' how they protected the world from the unseen evil.
