First of all, let me be completely and utterly honest. I only bought this book for that stunning cover. Fortunately (in this case), I have a weakness for beautiful designs and dynamic covers that just grab your interest right of the bat.
And thank god, the book did not disappoint! I didn't spend my money just to have a pretty decoration with no real story.
The thing that made me absolutely fall in love with the book, and proceed to read it in one sitting, was surely the world and its beautifully written plot. I am a sucker for fantasy and all things otherworldly and dreamy, and believe me, this book has it! It just sucks you in and shows you a world that oozes fantasy at every page turn.
And, furthermore, Holly Race's prose just serves to accentuate all this amazingly woven narrative through her charismatic writing that compliments the story perfectly.
I am so excited to finish the trilogy, I can't wait to get my hands on the rest of her books!
