If you're looking for a book to make sure you never sleep soundly again - this one might just be for you. A combination of easy, relaxing read and absolutely terrifying when you stop and think about it, this book takes you on a journey through space and sleep, family and fortune. It's a unique idea for a tale and makes for interesting reading.
The character development works well with the storyline, and I'm always rooting for an outsider. Fern is a natural contender for someone to align with, having been bullied not just at school but by her own family after the loss of her mother.
The only thing I would say is that it can take a little while to get into as, just like with all fantasy books, there are rules to Annwn that you have to get to know and make sense of. But once established, it's a book easy to enjoy and easier still to recommend to friends.
