This clever use of parallelism had me wholly and entirely submerged into the world of 'Midnight Twins' with just a toe in the water, to say testing.
Just the cover itself had me clicking on "First Look", desperate to know the tale of the 'Midnight Twins', and further reading it, hopelessly fallen to know why the streets were "full of dreams" yet dangerous; though we know why dreams can be dangerous.
AND THIS WAS JUST THE PROLOGUE!
By my stars, "The cemetery’s
a favourite hangout for local kids who can’t be bothered to
trek into central London for their fun, and boy have they had
some fun here." The desecrated cemetery with "cigarette butts are strewn around the grave" had me wondering WHAT HAPPENED TO UMA???
I can't wait to dive back into the book and continue to journey with the Midnight Twins.
