For some reason (I honestly have no idea why), I always lean more towards historical fiction during the autumn-winter months. I just never feel like reading this kind of book in the summer, so reading this first impression at this time of year has me wanting to read more. I also know that my Nan would love to read this book. She likes anything based around the war and whenever I have a book set in that time, she has it from me as soon as I'm finished. This book shows promise and I would like to find out what happens next. The writing is also pretty gripping, so I know the writer will have me hooked.
