I've just read the first impression of this and it seems a delightful little novel even though I've not read something from this author before. The character of Ellie is so likeable and I love how she owns a bookshop and is at the same time a struggling author herself. You can tell there is a vulnerable lost side to her with the villagers coming in and off loading their children. Her relationship with her daughter seems magical and I loved reading the opening paragraph about being a Mermaid and her little strop that Dad can't quite deal with.
The front cover also drew me to this book and the mention of dreams makes it seem very magical. All it all it sounds a wonderful book full of mystery and focused on my one love:books!
