Strong Female Family Characters with Dreams and magic woven in!
This is not the type of book I would usually read, in fact it was gift - but I would recommend this for a Summer Read. Nothing too taxing or difficult to follow, just a gentle story of motherhood and family connections.
With a little bit of magic, dream interpretation and old folk stories, this little book will keep you entertained as you get to know all of the three generations (4 if you include the toddler) in turn.
Throughout the story, we learn of the new mum's struggle with her own feelings and placement after the birth of her own daughter - following her own journey and feelings, as she juggles her own career and her own bookshop. Her relationship with her husband through these changes is sensitively covered and its all nicely tied up with a happy ending.
