The cover is eye-catching - the stairs leading upwards to the moon, towards hope, towards the future. The characterisation is strong from the start, and I want to learn more about Vivienne. Charles Maynard sounds an interesting character too. There is too the background to the beginning of war in Europe which I've read a lot about. Hope I'm lucky!
