Although I love Anton ( who doesn't), I am very wary of celebrity novelists. However this book was a lovely surprise. Anton is clearly a very good writer and by including a subject he knows so much about, he crafts an elegant and very readable book. His characters are well rounded and the descriptions of the times are accurate.
