I thoroughly enjoyed Anton du Beke’s first novel, and I have been really looking forward to the follow up. Set in the turbulent years in the run up to World War Two, this is one of my favourite periods to read about, and I can’t wait to find out what happens to all the characters who we met in his first book.
The first book had all the glitz and glamour of Downton Abbey and Mr Selfridge, balanced with the stories of those ‘below stairs’, and I’m hoping that this book will provide more of the same!
