The first thing I liked about this book was the cover. It has such a beautiful illustration and it really does catch your eye.

Moonlight Over The Mayfair is set in 1930's London, which is not normally something that would interest me (especially a book about dancing) but I do like the idea of this being set in a grand hotel and what secrets are kept hidden, however the first chapter I feel was a little over descriptive,
and I began to lose interest quickly as at times the style of writing just goes bleak.
I did pursue reading until the end of this book's first read and the more I could see the potential of Anton Du Beke's novel being a great read.
