The next in the series about the Buckingham Hotel which has ballroom dancing as it's focus. It is very well written and also entertaining. You can imagine what life was like in a big hotel in Mayfair between the wars. Follows on from One Enchanted Evening which was very good . The characters are really brought to life very well and the storyline keeps you wanting to find out more about them. The hotel is a microcosm of life. The way the main characters all have a 'public' and 'private' life which they attempt to keep secret is very well portrayed. I can't wait to read the rest. Anton Du Beke's novels really surprised me - it is Downton Abbey with dance set at a time of political unrest with reference to world events in the 1930's
