This is the 2nd book by Anton du Beke, more commonly known for his appearances on SCD. I really did enjoy this book, pure escapism. However I would definitely recommend reading the first in the series as you do get to know the characters and their back story. Anton seems to have developed his characters more in this novel, and getting to know them is part of the charm of the book.
This story will appeal to all ages who love the romance and glitter of Strictly and Downton Abbey, there is even is a darker thread running through it which adds depth to the story and more interest. I am looking forward to reading the next one, which I am sure will also be a big success especially if you keep developing these lovely characters.
