I thoroughly enjoyed Anton Du Beke's first novel, One Enchanted Evening, and the follow up didn't disappoint. It was lovely to revisit the Buckingham Hotel and pick up where we left off with the characters, both above and below stairs. It's an era of magic, music and romance and I found myself swept away and utterly enchanted. As always, Anton's dancing expertise shines through, and it is this that makes his novels stand out from others in the genre. But Anton doesn't rely purely on his dancing, he's done his historical research too, and the attention to detail is impeccable. Romantic and nostalgic, Moonlight over Mayfair is the perfect read for a cold winter's night. I'm already looking forward to the next installment!
