Though I felt this book was slightly slow in terms of pace, it was an enjoyable read and just like the previous one, did a wonderful job of transporting the reader back to the past. I especially enjoyed Vivienne's character development and how far she came from the events of the last book as well as her growing friendship with Nancy. Another great part was how the new dynamics with Nancy and Raymond were explored and the ending was a wonderful finish. I felt that this book did an incredible job of touching on the issues of that time and did so in such a way that it was very clear to anybody who had no idea what was going on in that time (such as myself) which made the story quite easy to understand.
