Having read the book I'll say the cover definitely does it justice. Despite the relatively slow start the book is very well written and really captures the spirit of the time (which is 1937 with the threat of war looming in the air). The chapters were manageable and the writing style made the story pleasant and easy to get through. The book is a sequel to 'One Enchanted Evening' and it is very rare for me to not start a series from the beginning. As I haven't read the first one I'm not sure how much of a difference it would have made to reading this one. My guess is not much as the characters are briefly re-introduced. This seems to be done with the aim of reminding those who have read the first book and introducing to first time readers like me. Even though I'm not 100% sure I don't really feel like I missed out. What I do know is that I will definitely try to read One Enchanted Evening! Thanks to Readers First for the free copy
