I should think that Anton’s second book will be in the Sunday Times bestsellers Chart before too long.

Moonlight over Mayfair. Anton Du Beke.

I wondered what a novel written by one of Strictly Come Dancing stars would be like and knew that his first novel had been a Sunday Times bestseller. I was not disappointed. The plot twists and turns and there are interesting characters interacting throughout.
The reader feels part of the glamorous ballroom action at the Buckingham Hotel in 1937, where the rich enjoy dancing displays and where plots and intrigues are hatched.
The staff are loyal, vulnerable and involved in the intrigues.

There are love affairs, spying, failures, successes, disaster; in short, plenty to keep the reader involved in the plot throughout.

If you would like to be whisked through the novel by dancing Anton, pirouetted into 1937 and enjoy the escapism of a good read, then settle down with a hot chocolate and indulge yourself.
