I really wanted to enjoy reading this book but unfortunately I find myself struggling to get through it.
In part, I belive it's due to a lack of love for historical romances - they simply aren't my go to genre and I rarely read them.
Additionally, I found it difficult to keep track of the many characters dancing around the pages of this book. This difficulty was no doubt worsened since I'd not read the first book.
Still, whilst not my cup of tea, what I did manage to read seemed good. The world building is well done as is the actual writing.
I hope one day I will be able to readily return to this novel and enjoy it but for now it shall, unfortunately, have to wait in fished upon my shelves.
