I read this book as soon as I finished Anton Du Beke’s first book and all I can say is this also doesn’t disappoint.
The book has a wonderful blend of history and romance, wonder and joy. Still set at the beautiful Buckingham Hotel, we see our favourite characters from the first book and what has happened next for them. Noticeably, following the new King on the throne. War still lurks in the background and there’s still a fight for survival.
What I really enjoy about Du Beke’s writing is that it flows beautifully, it’s not a difficult read and you really are carried away in a dance filled narrative.
Now I’ve read all three, I can safely say that I genuinely adore these books and feel so grateful that I stumbled across them.
Perfect for anyone who loves history, dancing, Christmas, love and charm, this book will not disappoint.
