First of all the cover is lovely - a nice mix of magic, wonder and the delights of ballroom. I’ve had this in the cupboard for ages and always meant to read it and I figured lockdown and approaching Christmas was a good time to delve into it. I would def say it’s a good Christmas/ New Year book to cosy up into over the Winter period. I’ve never read a book about dancing and ball room before but the return of Strictly got me in the mood! The characters in this book are engaging, especially the main characters who you start to feel sorry for as the story progresses. Especially the lady - can’t remember her name - who dreams of being a dancer! All in all I thought it was a great read and one that I throughly enjoyed. I would recommend Anton Du Beke’s other novels in this series and would absolutely be interested in reading the next one myself. Overall 4 stars
